Mumbai Indians achieved their scores a brilliant victory in Brabourne Stadium tonight against MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings. Super Kings posted a total of 180.2 at the end of 20 overs courtesy S.Badrinath and Suresh Raina.
Raina was well supported by Badrinath who scored 55 of 45 deliveries as he completed his 1000 runs in IPL and scored a brilliant 83 not out of just 55 balls hitting 7 fours and 3 sixes. It was a match that Chennai should have won easily but then Sachin “The God” Tendulkar had some other plans. He along with Sikhar Dhawan destroyed the Chennai attack adding a partnership of 92 runs.
Muralitharan who holds Purple Cap was picked up Saurab Tiwary quickly and R.Satish was picked up by Joginder Sharma.But Man of the Match Sachin Tendulkar and the West Indian duo of Pollard and Bravo made sure their team reaches their target easily.
Tendulkar played naturally and he never panicked even when three wickets went down quickly. His natural game scoring 72 and 52 ball and was well supported by Pollard in the end scoring a useful 20 runs of just 9 balls.
Mumbai Indians win takes them to the top of the table and I think they will end up like this at the end of this competition.
